The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 我幻想的这是女导演真实故事，导演把她高中时期的故事拍了出来，但中间肯定有改编，人们愿意美化自己的过去，为了使影片具有吸引力，还要有各种冲突事件，但是，并不影响我觉得好看啊。

😭😭😭😭😭 铁石心肠的我没有哭，但是我确实太喜欢操场激吻的名场面了，看到之后连喊“卧槽卧槽卧槽！” 虽然我对女主一连串骚操作无力理解，但是还是很喜欢两个女主中学与婚礼蒙太奇（是吗）镜头，啊兴高采烈青春洋溢单纯的样子，和长大后沉稳冷静又有点冷漠木讷的对比，我真是爆哭😭 虽然但是，我很感激这个电影里对吻戏的慷慨，我很感激
BE，万年BE，如果不BE确实不深刻。两人的家境 确实会导致两人对青春期这段刻骨铭心的感情有不同的感受，泳蓝选择原地踏步，而心悦早已move on。电影前30多分钟疯狂发糖，我就知道后面有多虐，不过有些剧情有点让我迷惑，有点故意，比如我感觉床戏就大可不必了，虽然没啥，但总感觉有些过了；操场拥吻我着实没想到，很不错；有很多迷影梗，阿飞正传的哥哥和曼玉的经典场景，蓝宇的电视背景音，这些迷影梗都挺让我惊喜的；就是有些场景有些刻意，讲真像拍mv，不过我倒是很喜欢两女主和父母之间的戏
她说看完想到我，我说这故事远没有我们的精彩。。。
以为是烂片 后面却哭的稀里哗啦的
对这部电影期待值很高，过去起码有不下于10次查找有没有相关资源，略失望但可以接受。上次看过的香港女同片是《蝴蝶》，节奏把握比蝴蝶差了太多太多，但是冲在新人导演和新人演员还有大陆不敢拍我还是愿意给5星的。《蓝宇》一出，我就知道是be了，《阿飞正传》一出，张曼玉后面哭哭啼啼忘不了阿飞的样子在我脑海中一下子被唤醒了，喜欢上一个人有时候只需要一分钟，却无法从这一分钟起不再喜欢。看得出来是导演自己的故事，用这样一部电影记住和她的故事，实现关于她的梦想，在有些人看来可能是幼稚的，是感动自己的，那我希望她永远不要长大。
其实对于S的选择不是不能理解，但是电影没能很好的说服观众，一段学生时期的恋情多半会时过境迁，双方都走出来再面对遗憾可能会更有认同感。

电影有一两瞬间捕捉到了女同学喜欢女同学的那种尴尬、害羞、不确定性。但仅限于一瞬。其余时候，不知所云。可以说如果这部电影换成异性，技巧方面是不成立的。两位女演员的状态也无法说服我她们是女学生。

好像陈妍希，李芯悦爱死wing了，但现实让她不愿意再赌一次试试看。wing一直是后反劲儿但够持久的那一个，长大了为了爱换专业。
最后的结局很现实，李咏蓝太惨了，画面好看，虽然情节有些莫名其妙。

有点含糊不清的感觉，好像故事没有讲明白，不过，好爱谈善言～（改分了，看了三遍，后劲有点大……）
