The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 中规中矩的公路科幻片，末日废土，一人一狗，虽然情节和人物都比较刻板，但是在细节的打磨上还是非常到位，整体呈现出来的效果还是比较温馨动人

【2.5】喜欢这个象征性地将人类命运交接给机器人的结局，尽管这仍旧是一个过分乐观和执着于人类遗产的伟大意义的想象，但至少影片不再像多数末世灾难题材那样，深陷在人类命运的物种性延续上。除此以外，本片之于我毫无新鲜观感和乐趣，疫情下有的观众确实需要温柔抒情的电影抚慰，但在过往电影中已经可以找到大量更好的电影代替时，它的出现不见得是件好事。
