The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 勉强三星。人物造型还行。音乐没有记忆点但也过得去。就是故事太薄弱。

宣发真的要背锅了 预告搞得我也以为是探险片 结果其实是全家福 汉密尔顿的制作人真的厉害 歌都太好听了 设定每个人物都很喜欢 大家都很可爱 米拉贝有没有魔法我觉得都可以 继承外婆的能力这个解释最喜欢 是下一任家主了 但有一说一剧情是有很大问题的 后期不足 冲突解决的有点太简单了 好多都没交代清楚 希望之后还能出续集
故事不错，后期的剧情走向有惊喜，歌也不错。期待值虽然不比近期另一部音乐为卖点的动画电影，实际品质却远超预期，五星好评了。
影像风格方面回味倒是大体完全走的基础辅助路线没啥说的，偶尔想吐槽夸张的镜头也是为了相应的唐突煽情和歌舞剧时刻。基本叙述结构还是传统的但是如从校园情感TV动画里锯了几个高潮段来填充动不动让我怀疑自己漏看了20集，割裂散乱尴尬的堪称一绝。以及开头科幻然后中途如奇幻子供最后一转那类玄学科幻，转变心态倒是能当个乐子看着点比守哥哥SF大作后半无论娱乐性还是科幻性都强多了，硬要说的话如果好好围绕核心点子重构一下或许还是有潜力的。最后，这片强行搞一个欧美公主动画童年回忆舔白皮又敷衍又膈应，你是看不起我东映是吧。。
诗音和妈妈体现的其实是两种对立的价值观，“机器为人服务”及“人为机器服务”，我比较遗憾的是剧中这两种价值观的冲突是没有结果的，就像问题小说，只把问题摆出来不解决问题。可以说妈妈到最后也没有真正反省过自己的问题和她带给女儿的伤害，甚至她帮助主角们侵入公司都只是为了报复公司的人阻碍她的项目，她欠里美一个真心诚意的道歉，这是全剧最失败的塑造。
看了三分之一左右，睡着了，机器人女主这个设定真是，就差把“我是机器人”喊出来了，能不能稍微隐蔽一点。把这样的机器人投入校园实在是有够疯狂的。这片投入印度市场了没，我看应该挺对他们胃口的，反正大家跳起来就完事了。
对于未来家居的想象… 感觉就是homekit（x 嘛各种意义上都很勉强。
？迷惑行为。如果单独把每首歌做成mv我很喜欢，做成电影实在是太怪了，一颗星给歌。
比较平淡的一部工作室作品 故事太过低幼，彻底的童话作品：一切仅仅只是灌输一个规则信条给儿童去相信，但形式又太过简单乏味。歌舞喧宾夺主。
十真对悟美的告白让恋爱故事充满感动，AI变得有超乎想象的感情时，便不再是个冰冷的机器。一切美好都毁于成年人的冷漠现实。
有很可爱的细节。但主剧情实在无聊，毫无进步。看得频频走神。
看完没有太多的感触..果然开始对这个不感冒了 还不如让Bruno舅舅一直黑化下去呢🤣
迪士尼60周年的作品质量可谓一般。
日本动漫独有的一言不合就尴歌尴舞（vivy出来挨打），另外只磕到了百合（硅碳？），现在的bg真的不行。
