During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 居然一晃这么多年过去了，精致的古典英伦范，从未被超越，所有的旧人都是依然那样在我心中啊，也从未改变

肉眼可见的那种好看，时刻感受着扑面而来的热爱与执着，生活与事业，友情和爱情，相互对照彰显出「人生处处是舞台」的真谛，歌舞不错，加菲表演出彩。

没想到自己竟然也到了会打出情怀分的年纪，但仔细回忆起来，第一次打开唐顿的时候自己差不多也还是一个十三四岁的小孩子，原来十年真的过去了，Carson好像更老了些，Lady Mary也不再是那个年轻女人了。新的时代降临在陈旧的宅院之上，历史感愈发凸显，其间还是哭了两次。

里面选的歌其实还可以吧。总的来说是值得看的吧。
用灵动轻盈的方式拍了一个动人的悲剧故事，一个梵高式怀才不遇的天才如何在困苦中继续奋斗，像所有天才一样被误解被放弃，在最终迎来成功时却又永远离开我们的故事。更悲剧的是这样精彩的本应属于大银幕的音乐剧最后只能在网飞看，这依然是一个快消费才华的时代。
前半剪辑节奏有点凌乱无法入戏，后半渐入佳境
林-曼努尔·米兰达的过人之处在于，他能以完全电影化的手段去拍摄他挚爱的音乐剧领域，视听技巧和情感表达都完全不像一位新电影导演，很是纯熟。而叙事中对90年代同性群体和艾滋病恐慌的处理，看似蜻蜓点水，却有着发自心底的关注与重视。当然，剧本编排若能更脱离学院派，更放飞自我，一定会更好。安德鲁·加菲尔德、罗宾·德·齐泽斯的表演完成度不俗。

太感动了，歌好听，情绪也很饱满，加菲尔德值得一个奥斯卡影帝提名！另外，他永远是最好的蜘蛛侠。
满满都是情怀分，唐家屯的配乐经典永流传。大家都老了。好多年没追，没想到这一集正赶上毒舌奶奶辞世，玛丽正式接棒。好多曾经形单影只的角色双宿双飞，二小姐现在比大小姐美多了。
