The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 法式幽默
最后一次长谈聊起Metalica，连CD选集都像不曾存在过；听见被海浪冲走的他喊我才知道他没有忘记我的名字，离海15公里的地方已经听不见海盐的声音，与父亲的回忆只剩一场错过的生日旅行，会唱奶奶教的歌谣哪怕听不懂意思；一个人的旅行和道别，猫咪钱包始终无法归还；在你们眼中她是近在身边反而更遥远的存在，在我眼中她无所不在……又一部311地震创伤录，B面故事的切入角度其实不太好，但最后的动画走马灯挺厉害
再短点会更好 还不够好玩 色彩很好 法国人这皮肤真不行
是那种过一个月一个字剧情都想不起来的电影，别看。
用科幻喜剧讽刺了现状，互联网时代人类的推荐广告，单纯的欲望经济，展现了精神世界的魅力
动画加电影的表现形式太惊人了，最后一段令人赞叹。

一部很细腻的真实事件改编，将个体与组织的关系从不同维度都刻画到位了，只是台词太密集了，鲜有留白，多少有点疲劳。最后母亲应该是为了保护小哥退出了审判，但也让人觉得很遗憾。还是更欣赏小哥，哪怕孤身一人无法战胜一个腐坏的体制，但坚持真相，是一个人能做的最坚强最伟大的成功。
BGM很nice，有一些片段，虽然很刻意，但很拍得倒有些梦幻的味道，最后换视角的一顿流水拉通也OK。但问题在于，这部片子太轻了，即使她最后选择落水，选择大海，但她经历的挣扎，家庭的桎梏，都没有讲清。而作为现时的经历者，女主角心里的变迁也把握得很凌乱。最拉垮的当然实属漫画！
虽然两个人kiss了但内心根本姬不起来啊。把311也归过进来是不是也太偷懒了点。一星给id。
这是真难看啊，感觉简直是导演想通过搔自己的痒逗笑观众，真没想到名导也能拍这样的烂片。
喜欢未来未来生活的电影，色彩非常丰富多彩，是我的菜。
日影偶尔兴看，但不知道什么时候就会遇见个这种不明所以的。大概就导演自己把自己感动了。

最后换视角重叙的时候还用同样的镜头未免太过偷懒 叙述两个女生的情感的部分都烂的很通俗 难道是一件钟情吗 为什么要那么强调第一次见面的样子 最后一次见面好朋友剪短发又有什么寓意
主题也老调重弹毫无新意，后半程节奏明显拖沓，但趣味性总归还行。
