The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这种题材的犯罪片，如果让韩国人来拍，估计能上8分。
王珞丹演啥都是一个性格，就是北京妞儿的样子，王传君倒不错，把一个木纳的专一的学医男生演的很好。导演不行哦，整个电影跟一40集电视剧解说似的，跟本杰明巴顿奇事差着修炼十年也达不到的距离。爱情、科幻、灾难、战争、家庭成长大杂货，不伦不类。只有最后老戏骨的镜头真的动人 ，其他真是，什么玩意儿啊。还一堆傻逼尬吹，如果是赚这五毛，我为你感到悲哀，如果是真心吹，那我更为你感到悲哀。人生没啥劲了。
题材不错，但拍得不痛不痒，让观众很难代入那么强烈的恨意，这就属于是拍烂了吧。

宽宽也救不了啊。亲爱的导演啊，这是电影啊，不是话剧更不是汇报演出……
很规整很平的片子，卡司没有问题，演技没有问题，剧本没有问题，导演有大问题，节奏把控得太失败，后半段很拖沓，人物动机不足，收尾也很突兀，这种现实性的电影拍得太停于表面，到头来什么都没有深挖。
但是一个没有深入挖掘主题的悬疑片，你弄这么慢的文艺片节奏是要闹哪样？！不是不支持你们悬疑片勇于挑战按文艺片节奏拍，但是，这个的前提是有这个必要，你是有挖掘的东西，不然你这种慢节奏真的很多余而且让人昏昏欲睡。
又是一部日本绝望系列电影，给那种不给别人添麻烦，不给社会和国家添麻烦的人刻画的很生动，像那个在电话亭住很多天的阿姨，电影里面感情比较真挚，但是整体元素不多，看到后面就会累，二倍速三倍速四倍速的往后希望剧情快速推进，不太推荐，没有特别的亮点

即使单纯改编本杰明巴顿奇事，也是想看的。想看看换到我们熟悉的社会，王朔会改编成什么样。

看了1/5放弃的算是看过吗？反正觉得节奏沉闷缓慢，时间线到处乱跳的莫名其妙，实在是看不下去。日剧日影现在都不会好好编个故事吗？
富有诗意的片名，乍一看，怎么取个这名呀？看完了还就这名好用。这在苦难悲惨的世界里有你们相伴才是冬日里的一抹暖阳啊！
影片的悬疑几乎不用猜了，其实一开始职业就暗示了。由于公务员的尸位素餐，导致了更多得不到保护的人的死亡，难道仅是一句按章办事就可以推卸责任的。公务员所谓的负责是对上头还是对人民的？如果人民得不到被保护的安全感，仇恨的杀戮四起，那国家存在的意义何在。

分几层来看这个电影哦，导演的能力不足应该扣两颗星，但是全员细腻演技又能补回来一颗心，说是悬疑那就是笑话了，导演想要把立意拔得很高，但是又讲不好故事。我本来是不那么喜欢短发造型的tkr的，但又因为感觉这个故事能和最近的上海共情，就看了，然后就拜倒在tkr的演技下了，全程没有什么妆造的变化，也没有浮于表面的情绪波澜，是以一种进入角色的方式，把他演绎出来。tkr真的是天赋型的演员啊，老天爷追着喂饭吃的那种吧！
电影啊
乱七八糟，不知所云，前后不连贯，那个视觉快速除了给男主点了个小外挂又有什么用？后面的研究和前面的剧情有什么关系？除了和片名有关系以外。
对原著的改动太大了，单纯靠演员的卖力演出和台词的铺陈，无法将如此沉重的议题完全地展示给观众，也导致了整部电影的深度欠奉。电影里那些疯狂的情绪渲染，虽然带来了一定的震撼，却始终无法将原著抨击社会制度说清楚，同时，也缺乏了对戏中官僚们为何一定要“照章办事”的原因探究。而最后那浮于表面的动机以及道歉，再次令人感受到在资本面前，影视作品无法真真正正去揭穿那些本质的、更深层次的、更骇人、更教人无奈的“疾病”。最后的最后，给了4星，是因为中山七里。
