The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. NBA fan狂喜 全是各种真人客串
这是看过所有NBA球星参演的电影里，大家演得最自然的一部了
流水线产品，亚当·桑德勒还真适合演这种片子。
题材摆在那里，还是励志、燃，但看完总觉得缺点撒。
客观3.3，感情分3.5星。普通到没有任何新意的老套故事，一个落魄球探坚持培养自己发掘的好苗子，最后走向成功之路的篮球励志故事。几乎没有大泪点，但还是看得蛮享受的。另，亚当桑德勒为什么要留大胡子，颜值下降严重，胡安乔·埃尔南戈麦斯好养眼啊，憨萌憨萌的。
不管什么时候，亚当桑德勒都很适合演这种角色！其次客串的球星众多，又是掀起一幕幕回忆杀，尤其AI出来的时候！整体也更像是NBA2K系列的剧情真人版，虽然一切看似很老套路，但是细看又会发现挺真实的，现在76人的管理层确实挺蠢的，该清理清理一下，就像选哈里斯放走巴特勒一样…最后虽成功却没有在一起，但是彼此都得到了最好的想要，挺不错的
看过那么多场NBA比赛，也见证过球员们的赛场高光时刻，幕后的故事却所知甚少。事实证明，如果你能打进NBA，天赋努力缺一不可，还要有独具慧眼的伯乐。

诶从《原钻》到这部，对亚当·桑德勒演技好感度直线回升。训练蒙太奇果然还提到一嘴《洛奇》，虽然这种运动励志很难有什么新意，但这部是真的会让人很振奋的那种，真诚，充满相信奇迹的力量。（靠，到底来了多少NBA球星啊哈哈哈哈哈哈！）

合格的爆米花标准热血体育电影，标准之上。 在小区解封的这天晚上看的
喜剧的空间很大，但并没有做好。一个打野球的暴躁小子（还15岁就有了女儿），一波三折登堂入室进入NBA的故事。值得回味的就是和诺维茨基的那通视讯电话了，可惜这种梗太少了。
看到7.3分才看的，有点失望，可能是期望过高，很想投入进去，但是却像流水线那样跳过了。打动不了我。对我来说值得看的理由是：这部电影从球探的视角来描述了NBA的商业性，让我知道在N BA里面打球，除了你的技术和天赋外，还有太多太多的东西需要你去考虑了。真的没那么简单。
找了一个合适的切口让更多人去了解一位NBA球员是如何炼成的，但就真的，一切尽在预料之中，可能还不如走《德鲁大叔》那种娱乐向的路数……唯一亮点真就是华子的表演呗……
这种题材基本没有新意也很难出错，剧情当然是无法推敲，纯粹的爽剧，图个热闹，毕竟还真是把大半个NBA+街球界名人堂都找来了，这诚意收到了。
