As its title suggests THE FABULOUS WORLD OF JULES VERNE is an awe -inspiring, meticulous cinematic rendering of the aesthetic and conceptual inventions of proto-science fiction genius Jules Verne, based on one of the famed author's lesser known short stories. However, the real star of the film is the intricate art direction, successfully rendering the visual style of nineteenth century woodcuts and engravings into motion pictures, creating a stylized and surreal graphic world within which Verne’s fanciful tale unfolds. A brilliant scientist, Dr. Roche, perches high above a stormy sea, inventing a powerful explosive, when he and his assistant are kidnapped by an evil businessman, Artigas. Taken by submarine to Artigas' volcano headquarters, Roche is tricked into developing his experiment for evil intentions. The scientist’s assistant, Simon, struggles all the while to free himself and warn Roche. A magical world of baroque submarines and sailing ships, killer octopus, undersea bicycles dazzles audiences as human actors, puppetry, animation and fanciful scenic design interact to create a cinematic experience that is unique by any standards. 浪费时间的片子。用碎片化的结构来故弄玄虚，但是因为真相过于无聊，最后将所有片段串起来的时候毫无酣畅淋漓恍然大悟的感觉，只会觉得“哦，这样啊，爱咋咋地吧”。剧情简介也很故弄玄虚，果然是跟影片中的小说家一样会遣词造句，其实就是编辑发现小说家的小说可能不是虚构的，是真人真事，怕惹上名誉权官司去查，结果发现确实是真事，哪里有惊愕？另外还见过一个版本的剧情简介写的像是现实事件随着小说情节的发展而发展，颇为奇幻，妥妥的简介欺诈。
剧情太慢了。
为什么评分这么低的啊？？饼粉冲着饼来看的，但是被風pon的演技震惊到了！！！虽然一开始有点点不知所云，但是有饼还是能津津乐道的看下去，永远留不住钱快成饼的固定人设了，笑死我了，导演都好抖s（脑残饼粉嘿嘿 最后开始解密到结尾真的さっぱり，让人不禁的也想鼓掌了（不是
心碎往事似乎多和小孩有关，难以承受，然而女主最终走出来了。另外，我差点认不出是《金刚》的女主，这都多少年了，岁月啊。。。

剧情比拿滚子压过十遍的柏油马路还平，前面铺垫太久了，消磨了我对高潮部分的全部期待，更何况这个高潮部分本来也没有想象中那么跌宕起伏。

电影的片长还是有点受限制，让整部片子偏流水账，比较平，高潮铺垫显然不够，高潮也不算太高潮。
絮絮叨叨的不明所以，充着老剧来的，可惜太失望

一开始就得抖擞精神搞清现实与虚构，到后来就有种看疯狂的石头，两杆大烟枪之类的感觉，就是节奏有点慢
因为未接触过，所以觉得很新奇。遇车路过那段完全不需要，回家之后吃点东西洗个澡就可以end了，或者结尾再加段重遇谈几句和女主的特写就cut了吧，给点留白就行。(三星半)
